2023 Fashion Trends
March 13 2023
New year, new trends! Though some trends will carry over from 2022, others are brand new for everyone this year and sticking around for the long haul.
Loafers with lug soles will continue to be popular throughout this Spring. If you are unfamiliar with the lug sole, it refers to the chunky, rubber soles that you began to see in previous seasons. Loafers are a great transitional shoe that can take you from the office to a night out.
Green hues are on the rise. We’ll begin to see moss, fern and kelly green hues in early Spring, and it will stay present well into the Fall season. You might find this hue difficult to wear, or may not know where to start, so we suggest you introduce it slowly into your wardrobe with patterns or accessories. Slowly, work your way up incorporating this pop colour into your everyday wardrobe staples such as your knits, blazers and tees paired back to your favourite denim.
This year, cargo pockets will make a huge comeback. From pants, to shorts and skirts to coats- cargo inspired clothing pieces are anticipated to be spotted throughout the year. This is a great new trend to try as you can find pieces with a simple elevated single cargo pocket or go full speed ahead with an item that has multiple wider, cargo pockets.
The mini skirt was one of the “it girl” trends last fall. This Spring, the emphasis is on the always useful and adaptable maxi skirt. The maxi length skirt has something to suit everyone’s tastes, whether it be for a minimalistic approach, elevated look or even glam. We are loving maxi length skirts this season paired back to runners and a simple white tee.
A timeless trend that never goes out of style are elevated basics. Basic denim and well fitting t-shirts will continue to be sought after, since you can easily pair them with your investment pieces. Don’t shy away from adding a statement piece of jewelry or shoe to your classic jeans and t-shirt. This season you will see your elevated basics in all neckline styles but by far the most popular will be the high neck crew style. Pair your basics back to your blazers, cardigans and layer them with all your knits from Fall.
We cant wait to see what other trends make an appearance this year.
Stay tuned for more!
